COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

CPLRR basketball program strives to extend its reach beyond the court through community service initiatives. By instilling the values of empathy, service, and social responsibility in our athletes, we strive to make a tangible difference by fostering a culture of giving back.

We firmly believe in the expression "plant where you grow" because it emphasizes the importance of contributing to our local community, College Park, where the team is based. Instead of solely focusing on on-court achievements or seeking opportunities in other areas, the team is encouraged to give back to the community that supports them. With humility as our guiding principle, we teach our athletes to approach our service acts with a sense of openness, respect, and gratitude.

 

This could involve organizing community service projects such as coaching younger children in basketball clinics, volunteering at local charities, or participating in neighborhood clean-up projects. By engaging in these activities, the CPLRR basketball program not only strengthens its ties with the community but also instills values of teamwork and a sense of pride in the local area, empowering young athletes to make a positive impact where they live and play.
